Where tennis greatness met superhero scale.
To launch DIRECTV STREAM, we needed to make a new streaming platform feel instantly exciting. So we paired one of the biggest names in sports with one of the biggest icons in entertainment: Serena Williams and Wonder Woman. The mashup turned a simple product promise, live TV and on-demand together, into a larger-than-life launch story built for fans, platforms, and culture.

Created a limited-edition comic book with DC
To keep Wondrous Serena’s world growing, we partnered with DC writers and illustrators to create a limited-edition, four-part comic book series. The comic gave the mashup its own superhero backstory, visual language, and chaptered story arc. Instead of simply extending the campaign, we extended the mythology, making the idea feel like it belonged inside the DC universe.

The bots escaped. Fans fought back.
The robots escaped into the real world, and fans were recruited to help Serena fight back. Built as an AR game for Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook, tennis-ball-firing bots appeared in people’s own environments as each level added more enemies, more intensity, and a bigger battle to survive.
We invited fans to step into the comic book world. Literally.
We announced the comic book on Snapchat with a custom AR portal fans could walk through. Once inside, they found themselves surrounded by an illustrated battle scene filled with the action and drama of Wondrous Serena’s world.
